About the author
Shaykh 'Abdul Aziz Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abdullah ash-Sha'lan was born in 1391h (1972). After completing his formal education, he graduated from Imam Muhammad Ibn Su'ood University (Riyadh), from the faculty of Hadith. He completed the memorisation of the Qur'an during secondary school, and studied with a number of illustrious scholars including Shaykh Ibn Bay, Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Salih al-Uthaymin, Shaykh Abdullah al-Ghudayan, Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan and others. He has worked in a number Da'wah related roles within Saudi Arabia, including:
• Head of the Cooperative Office for Da'wah and Guidance (Riyadh)
• Head of the Office of Guidance for Ethnic Communities (Riyadh)
• Supervisor of the Abdul Aziz Ash-Shithri Qur'an Memorisation Schools for Women (Riyadh)
• Head of the Da'wah Projects in the Ministry of Islamic Affairs (Saudi)
He is currently working as the assistant secretary of the Office of Da'wah and Guidance at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
