A Series of Guidelines Taken From Surah Al-Fatihah
A series of Guidelines taken from Sūrah Al-Fatihah
Allah )سوال( revealed the Qur'an so that its verses could be pondered over and acted upon:
كتب الله إليه مرة لي اتروا الميته واستذكر أولوا الألب )
"(This is) a Book (the Qur'an) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember." [Sürah Sad (38): 29)
So if we are in need of pondering and reflecting over the Qur'an and understanding it, then our need for pondering over al-Fatihah-which is the Mother of The Qur'an, the best chapter in the Qur'an and the one generally containing what the entirety of the Qur'an covers is more dire and serious. This is why it behooves every believing servant to give this magnificent Sürah what it deserves from the contemplation and understanding of its meanings and proofs so that he can benefit and ascend by the grace of the King and the Giver of All (Allah).
In this book is a reference to some of the guidelines of this blessed Sürah along with its tremendous benefits and abundant goodness-the origin of which are lessons that I gave and then later revised, summarized and released in this form.
I hope that Allah brings about good and benefit through it. I firstly and lastly praise Allah and I thank Him inwardly and outwardly, and I cannot let this moment pass to extend my gratitude to my brother, the virtuous Shaykh, 'Abdul-Hädi Ibn Hasan Wahabi for his appreciated efforts and noble work to produce this book. May Allah reward him with good and place this (his efforts) on his scale of good deeds.
I ask Allah, the Most Generous for Tawfiq (ability to be successful) and acceptance and may He raise the rank of our Prophet Muhammad and send peace upon him, his
family, and companions.
